La Taverne

We ate there as a party of four, and all we can say is that it was simply perfect. The tuna tataki was excellent, as were the mussels and oysters. As for the lobster... the way it was cooked allowed us to fully appreciate it, and it was delicious. Regarding the service, the waiters were very friendly and cheerful. Furthermore, the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, overlooking the pier with a beautiful view. We had a fantastic meal. We highly recommend it.

The service was absolutely lovely and attentive. The perfect place to enjoy delicious seafood. Superb location facing the ocean and Port Louis. A very well-run establishment with a great atmosphere. Everything is homemade. Efficient service.

The tavern has become our go-to spot for a meal or just a drink. After several visits, we've always received an enthusiastic and friendly welcome. In short, if you enjoy good, convivial food made with fresh ingredients... Don't hesitate, including for our dear tourists discovering our land of legends! A waitress also gave a very poor impression: her hair was a mess, her outfit was sloppy, and her overall appearance didn't reflect the image one expects from a restaurant. As for the food, the langoustines weren't particularly good, with a slightly mealy texture. I then ordered a meat dish with fries. It was okay, but nothing special, and the portion was quite small. The dessert was also very ordinary and won't leave a lasting impression. In short, the most memorable thing about it is the exceptional view. For the rest, between disappointing service and rather ordinary food, the experience doesn't really justify the trip.
