La vie est belle

Very pleasant setting. What can I say? Excellent, well-executed dishes. Deserves a star.

A wonderful time spent with family celebrating a particularly important birthday. Breathtaking views, guaranteed tranquility, a warm welcome, and attentive staff. Everything was divine, from the aperitif to the coffee. Thank you!

We decided to dine at this restaurant. It looked nice. We were shown to a table outside downstairs, it was warm so OK we accepted. We ordered the set menu at 44€ and drinks. Drinks came then we were told we could have some time before starter. Over 45mins later I asked for starter, there had been an error and we were offered a free drink after dessert. We were confused but accepted and waited for starter. It came was a good standard, another wait, this was now 1.5 hours since arriving and it was getting late. We had now lost interest and patience. We do not like fuss, are polite and well meaning but this was so disappointing. 3 baskets of bread should have told us there was a problem! I asked for the bill so far and payed in full, I was not even offered compensation for mess up. Very disappointing, staff were pleasant enough just something went wrong and we were not treated with a lot of care.

A fantastic meal for a group, despite the heat we were all very comfortable and delighted. Thank you!

Dinner on vacation, a restaurant recommended by the host of our chambre d'hôte. A refined and elegant location, with a slightly American yacht club feel, right on the oceanfront. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The ceviche deserves a mention, as did the recommended chardonnay. Everything was perfect. It's a shame about the autumnal weather, but it's Brittany after all.

The place is lovely. The staff were very friendly and attentive. However, we were very disappointed with the food. The foie gras was generous but not very digestible. It was very hard and very fatty. The scallop risotto was equally disappointing. The rice was undercooked and the scallops were far too large. I would say that only the dessert was acceptable.

Disappointing value for money. The dishes were beautifully presented, but the scallop carpaccio lacked freshness, as did the desserts. The sea bass was overcooked, and the vegetables were underseasoned. Nice view, friendly waitress, and air-conditioned dining room.

We wanted to offer our parents, who were visiting from another region, a nice culinary experience, so we chose La Vie est Belle, or rather, La Vue est Belle... The setting was very pleasant, the service friendly, and the atmosphere good. Unfortunately, everything else needs improvement: The food: The Cotriade: The langoustines were the size of a little finger... the fish had bones, and the potato was tasteless. Price: €23! Ouch! So we asked for extra fries: €6... Fine! The piece of beef fillet, not very big, we thought it was a children's menu: €34. In short, we really felt ripped off. It's a shame, this is an establishment that deserves a better rating!

I called at 8 PM to arrive at 8:30 PM and was told the kitchen closes at 8:30 PM, even though the website says it closes at 11 PM. I understand why business is bad; nobody wants to work anymore!

Fantastic meal at this restaurant overlooking the ocean. Special mention to Marlène for the quality of service and her kindness! If all restaurants had staff like her, life would be wonderful!

Passing through that day, the three of us went without a reservation, and the tables with a sea view were taken. ADVICE: if you're planning a trip to the area, consider booking in advance to have any hope of getting a good view. When you're a tourist, you don't know everything... everything else was perfect: the service, the friendly staff, the delicious food, and the price...!!!!

Beautiful location, but the service didn't live up to the prices: the order was rushed, and there was little courtesy. The food was good, but nothing special. A good, classic seaside restaurant nonetheless.
